The Chris Waller-trained son of Hinchinbrook suffered two defeats at the hands of Exosphere this campaign but bounced back to his brilliant best last start when careering away to score a dominant 3-length win in the Group 2 Stan Fox Stakes (1500m) at Rosehill Gardens.

Jockey Hugh Bowman will steer the colt from the wide barrier and they will need plenty of luck seeing no horse has won the race from a barrier wider than 13 since Drawn claimed victory from gate 17 in 1985.

The Hawkes Racing-trained Rageese, who finished 3rd to Press Statement last start, has also drawn wide in barrier 15, while Tulsa and the first emergency Mr Individual have drawn widest in barriers 16 and 17 respectively.

Stan Fox runner-up Shards has drawn to the inside of Press Statement in gate 12 and is the only acceptor from the powerful John O’Shea stable.

Ciaron Maher’s Caulfield Guineas Prelude (1400m) winner Bon Aurum will jump from barrier 10, while third placegetter Dal Cielo gets slightly closer to the inside in barrier 8.

Peter Moody’s impressive Bassett splits that pair in barrier 9 and goes into the race second-up after scoring a length win over Keen Array and Mawahibb who have since franked the form finishing 1st and 2nd at Moonee Valley last Friday night.

The only other last start winners in the race, Sovereign Nation, Lizard Island and Tarzino, will jump from barriers 1, 2 and 3 respectively.
